What is an entrepreneur exactly? What about an autodidact?
Let’s get really specific for a minute:

a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so.
I define an entrepreneur as someone who leads a team to create massive value for many.
a self-taught person.
In this blog I will be chronicling my systematic approach to becoming a self-taught person who organizes and operates businesses, creating massive value for many. I’ll build up the intestinal fortitude for risk tolerance down the road, starting by following the old advice: “Do one thing every day that scares you.”
To me, being an entrepreneur means being a leader first, and a businessman second. That’s exactly the priority of the content on this blog. It will focus first on leadership , then business.
Leadership is the ability to influence people to create something together. It is the most personally demanding field I know: an excellent leader must be an excellent person.
Business encompasses sales, marketing, management, finance, and accounting. While not quite as sexy as leadership, these skills are vital to an organization’s success.
I will focus on leadership is because of its impact across all areas of life, as well as its enigmatic and challenging nature. One can be a leader in running, romance, writing, religion, and really anything else you can think of. An excellent leader can excel in any field, not just that art of creating value in the name of income.
This blog provides a template that others may follow in the future, as well as a place to receive peer review.
